Backstory
Tyrone Biggums grew up in the Los Angeles ghetto known as Compton. His childhood years were not easy; His mother was a drug addict and he never met his father. The lack of food in his “home” meant that Tyrone had to fend for himself at a young age. Most kids his age fell into gangs and violence, but Tyrone had a vision for the future. He saw what the ghetto life had done to his mother and thus sought for something better. Tyrone was to become the perfect picture of self-betterment.
In his early teen years Tyrone provided for himself by selling shoes at the local street market; the shoes were typically knock-off Jordan’s and Nike’s. Although he had to pay for his own food, Tyrone managed to save up a fair chunk of cash to invest in his future. During his downtime at the market he studied hard for school; Tyrone would need excellent grades if he ever planned to get a full paid scholarship for University. At age 17, during his final year of high school, Tyrone was working the evening shift at a local meat factory whilst achieving straight A’s. Through his hard work and dedication, Tyrone was accepted into Berkeley University with full roam and board. He moved into the place that he would call home in late August, leaving the world of the ghetto behind him.
At Berkeley Tyrone chose to study for an honors degree in Political Science. After his years of plentiful hard work and labor Tyrone was finally rewarded during his university years. He had amassed quite a savings, and was able to live a leisure filled lifestyle. During the day Tyrone would work hard at school; studying between classes whenever he had a break. But after 6pm, he was free to do whatever he wanted. Typically Tyrone would socialize with other students on campus. At first Tyrone had a hard time integrating with the people around him, few of them had even worked jobs before. To his knowledge he was the only kid that was “Straight Outta Compton” in attendance of Berkeley. After a few weeks however, Tyrone learned to socialize much better talking about the common problems of school, professors, etc. A month into his first semester Tyrone developed a fond interest in picking up women. Luckily for him he was a 6”3 well-built black man with sizeable palms, and women were naturally attracted to him. By the end of his first year Tyrone had several conquests, and was well liked by all his professors. However, Tyrone first felt true accomplishment when he met one special girl.
Her name was Amanda Sorentino. She was a feisty Italian born in New York, to two stock brokers. She had come to Berkeley to study Accounting, hoping to return to New York to help her parents with their budding new firm. However, all that changed when she the charming young Tyrone. The day Tyrone met Amanda he knew she was the one, her 4”11 beautiful body accompanied by a gracious smile took him away. To him she was more than just a conquest; she was a companion for his journey to success. During their next 6 years of school the two kept each other good company, and discussed their hopes for the future. Tyrone could very likely run for Mayor in the election after his graduating year, but he had a more important plan. Tyrone was going to propose to Amanda on the day of her Graduation.
Tyrone had it all planned out. Thankfully the Dean of Accounting was a surprisingly exciting man who was willing to let Tyrone give Amanda the ring after she received her Diploma. To keep the moment an utter surprise for Amanda Tyrone had some cosmetology students cover him with a mask and a heavy load of makeup. They had to use a surprising amount of white foundation on his large black sausage fingers. He was then given an old ceremonial gown which he would wear to further blend in on stage. After standing on stage for over two hours finally Amanda Sorentino was called up on the stage. The Dean handed over her diploma, and she shook hands with various important seniority figures of the school. Finally she came up to the final man, but instead of shaking her hand he ripped off the glorious mask. The moment came as a surprise to her and the audience, and then Tyrone graciously went to a knee. The instant the words left Tyrone’s mouth Amanda had already come to her decisive decision. She almost fainted from the feeling that swept upon her as she yelled “Yes, yes I will!”. As she put the ring on her finger and leaped into Tyrone’s strong arms, the audience cheered upon the occasion.
Twelve months later Tyrone and Amanda had a beautiful summer wedding on the University Botanical Gardens. 280 people attended their wedding reception; making up for the lack of family on Tyrone’s side of the room. Tyrone’s mother did attend the occasion but she was kicked out of the Grand Banquet Hall after attempting to smoke crack under her table. Over the period between graduation and their wedding, Tyrone had become a professor at the University of Berkeley. He had a great love for the political sciences, and a greater love for the students at the University. Being a student had taught Tyrone the importance of learning, and more importantly the importance of the collective group. Amanda took a different road; she decided to start up an accounting office locally in California. She wanted to be with Tyrone as much as possible.
18 Years later the two lovers had become established members of society. Amanda’s accounting firm had merged with a large real estate office in Los Angeles; thus allowing her to score an excellent deal on a house in Beverly Hills. The couple chose not to have kids, as they were content with each other’s love alone. Tyrone was a world renowned professor, and Dean of Political Science at Berkeley. He became close friends with the Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, after Arnold spoke at one of the Graduation Speeches. Arnold and Tyrone became close friends sharing the common interest of politics and bodybuilding. Arnold was responsible for Tyrone’s attendance at the State Marijuana Debate in 2015.
After California decriminalized marijuana with State Senate Bill 1449 in 2010, the state was becoming more and more lenient towards Marijuana usage. Thus came the debate between politicians on complete utter legalization of the substance. Since Arnold had signed Bill 1449, he was in attendance to speak in the debate. Arnold invited Tyrone, to speak on behalf of the University to take stance on the subject. Tyrone was indecisive towards marijuana; however, the University as a collective was against legalization. It was during the debate that the crisis happened. From the windows of the Los Angeles City Hall, Tyrone observed the beginning of the 7 hour war. As madness swept across the city, the Advisor came down to City Hall. It seemed as though he had been attracted by the numerous flags displayed out front of the building. At a round table of roughly 20 people, the advisor addressed the group telepathically searching for a leader, a representative. No one from the group said a word; all stood in shock and fear. Then Arnold dashed at the floating advisor with his muscle covered body, screaming out “It’s time for you to be terminated!”. Just as he reached the advisor his body was thrown to the ground like a ragdoll, his neck was snapped and he remained lifeless. The crowd of people winced in horror, and one pothead lobbyist exclaimed “Dude this is nuts…”. The Advisor sent out another telepathic transmission, this time harsher than before “Who is the leader!”. Tyrone knew what had to be done.
Tyrone stood up and spoke out “I represent the people of this state, and comply with your demands”. This “alien” was far more powerful than any thug back in Compton, he knew that whatever it wanted it was getting. Almost immediately after his statement the Advisor telekinetically pushed all the other chairs at the table away from Tyrone. He stood alone now as the advisor slowly flooded his field of view. The advisor communicated again telepathically “Then you surrender yourself to the union?” this time slower and more concrete than before. Tyrone spoke out “Yes, I surrender the city to the union”, wondering what this Union was and how it was so powerful. The Advisor sent out a final transmission “Good, you will hold a future in reward for compliance”. That was all Tyrone remember for his vision became blurry, and the picture of the advisor began to fade.
Tyrone was transported with the advisor to the closest nearby Citadel, where he is put into a stasis. During this time he was brainwashed awaiting completion of the vast combine railway station. The greatest thing Tyrone lost from the brainwashing was the memory of his lovely wife Amanda who had likely died during the 7 hour war. Perhaps the brainwashing was a good thing for it avoided the pain caused by the loss of his beloved wife. Tyrone was transferred to a train which took him to his new place of residence, City 17. When he finally awoke he realized his purpose, and knew by what means to execute it. At the City he was greeted and given a brief overview of his position, where he would be the City Administrator.
