I guess you couldn't really call this a 'server' bug, but this is the closet topic I can get to it. Anyways, ever since the map change to the Build 152 of the City map, the server will not launch for me. Upon connecting to it, it will 'extract' the map, however the second it gets to 'extracted (map name)' my game will instantly crash. I've tried un-installing all add-ons, re-installing the game, re-installing the map with workshop and a .rar file. I've been really wanting to play, but yeah, as you can see this stops me from doing that. Anyone else getting this issue? If not, anyone think they can help me fix it?

Just you as far as I know. I used to have 'Too many Lua errors!' crash my game but that fixed after I cleaned up my Gmod folder and kept the workshop files low. I'm not too sure, might be because of your 1983 Dell if you still have that.

Try different launch settings. AKA lower your resolution and your graphics.
If not try changing your DirectX format

Go into the launch settings of garrysmod and type in -dxlevel 81
If that doesn't change your DirectX you can just go to you autoexec.cfg and add it in.

Hm, didn't work. Also tried deleting the garrysmod/garrysmod folder so it can redownload those files, once again, nothing. The map itself opens up perfectly fine in singleplayer.

I also tried joining another server running the same map, and it ran perfectly fine. So the map problem is out of the question, must be something on the server that is just killing my computer.

Was it a clockwork server?

Yes it was. ANYWAYS, I did fix it. Apparently the map kept getting downloaded when I connected to the server, even though I already had it downloaded. So I disabled all addons from the server, so I could connect with out the map downloading again, and it worked. Thanks anyways for the suggestions.
